Innate Lymphoid Cells: Of Precursors and Products…

چکیده
Recent reports have identified committed innate lymphoid cell (ILC) precursors and tissue-resident ILC subsets that have unique functional attributes. Taken together, these studies provide a framework for understanding how distinct ILCs are generated during hematopoiesis and further suggest additional parallels between models of ILC and T helper cell differentiation.

NFIL3 orchestrates the emergence of common helper innate lymphoid cell precursors.
Innate lymphoid cells (ILCs) are a family of effectors that originate from a common innate lymphoid cell progenitor. However, the transcriptional program that sets the identity of the ILC lineage remains elusive. Here, we show that NFIL3 is a critical regulator of the common helper-like innate lymphoid cell progenitor (CHILP). Cell-intrinsic Nfil3 ablation led to variably impaired development o...
متن کاملRange Determination of Antigen Expression in Myeloid, Erythroid and Lymphoid Cell Lineages among Patients with Myelodysplastic Syndrome
Background: Myelodysplastic syndrome is a mixed clonal disorder of bone marrow progenitor cells. Understanding the pattern of the different lineage-specific, immature, and mature markers in myelodysplastic syndrome will help in setting-up the frame of reference to diagnose. Patients and Methods: We compared 60 bone marrow samples from 30 newly-diagnosed patients with myelodysplastic syndrome ...
متن کاملGata3 drives development of RORγt+ group 3 innate lymphoid cells
Group 3 innate lymphoid cells (ILC3) include IL-22-producing NKp46(+) cells and IL-17A/IL-22-producing CD4(+) lymphoid tissue inducerlike cells that express RORγt and are implicated in protective immunity at mucosal surfaces. Whereas the transcription factor Gata3 is essential for T cell and ILC2 development from hematopoietic stem cells (HSCs) and for IL-5 and IL-13 production by T cells and I...
متن کاملClonal Type I Interferon–producing and Dendritic Cell Precursors Are Contained in Both Human Lymphoid and Myeloid Progenitor Populations
Because of different cytokine responsiveness, surface receptor, and transcription factor expression, human CD11c(-) natural type I interferon-producing cells (IPCs) and CD11c(+) dendritic cells were thought to derive through lymphoid and myeloid hematopoietic developmental pathways, respectively. To directly test this hypothesis, we used an in vitro assay allowing simultaneous IPC, dendritic ce...
متن کاملLymphoid precursors are directed to produce dendritic cells as a result of TLR9 ligation during herpes infection.
Hematopoietic stem and progenitor cells were previously found to express Toll-like receptors (TLRs), suggesting that bacterial/viral products may influence blood cell formation. We now show that common lymphoid progenitors (CLPs) from mice with active HSV-1 infection are biased to dendritic cell (DC) differentiation, and the phenomenon is largely TLR9 dependent. Similarly, CLPs from mice treate...
